Defense Leads Gray Wolves to victory

The Lourdes University women’s team used a suffocating defensive effort holding UM-Dearborn to 27.1% shooting in route to a 25-point victory 72-47. Macie Stringfellow (8 rebounds) and Emma Pedroza topped the Gray Wolves with 14 & 13 points as Lourdes built the lead to 29 points allowing them to sub liberally in the 4th quarter. Maya Barakat (11pts & 6 boards) & Desiree Jackson (10pts & 9 boards) led the way for the Wolverines. With the victory Lourdes improves to 6-11 overall 4-8 in WHAC play while UM-Dearborn drops to 1-17 & 0-12 in conference.
