Ohio Northern defeats Capitol 40-7

9/9/23 The Ohio Northern Polar Bears open OAC play with a home victory versus the Capitol Comets. Quarterback Brennan Norris led the Polar Bear offense going 22 of 30 for 253yds and 4 touchdowns in the victory. L.J. Payton led the receivers with 7 catches for 91yds and 3 touchdowns. Jamir Nunley topped ONU in rushing with 14 carries for 65yds. Capitol was led by Ben Everson’s 163yds passing and 31yds rushing and on touchdown on the ground. ONU improves to 1-1 while Capitol falls to 0-2.
