2nd Ranked Ashland wins in dominant fashion

1/13/24 Findlay, Ohio

The University of Findlay women’s basketball team ran into a buzz saw when the 2nd ranked Eagles of Ashland University visited the Croy. Starting slowly the Eagles led by only 7 points after the first quarter 15-8 but their stingy defense held Findlay to 2-10 shooting in the second quarter and Ashland took a 38-14 lead into the half. After the break Ashland subbed liberally with everyone seeing the court. Offensively Ashland had five players in double figures with Annie Roshak leading with 13pts, 9 boards and 5 steals.

Findlay had a rough day, shooting only 25% from the field and 6-14 from the charity stripe. Senior Kate Ellis led the way for the Oilers scoring 7 points while adding 7 rebounds. With the win, Ashland takes its 6th game in a row and improves to 14-1 overall (7-0 G-MAC) while Findlay falls to 7-9 overall (2-5 G-MAC).
