Racers take down Gray Wolves on the road 61-53

The University of Northwestern Ohio’s women’ s team won a slugfest versus Lourdes University Saturday afternoon. Both teams had a rough shooting day as UNOH shot 36.8% from the field while Lourdes shot 37.7%. With Alysia Lawson’s 23 (11 first half pts) and Olivia Thompson’s 13 points (7 boards) the Racers were able to take a 5-point lead into the half 33-28 and fourth quarter 51-46 before going on a 6-point run early in the last stanza and winning by 8. Emma Pedroza’s 13 point and 6 rebounds weren’t enough to keep the gray wolves within striking distance in the fourth as they fell for the second game in a row. UNOH moves to 10-12 overall and 6-10 in the WHAC while Lourdes falls to 7-14 overall and 5-11 in conference.
