Adrian pulls away from Calvin

The Adrian College Bulldogs defeated the visiting Calvin Knights Saturday afternoon at Docking stadium. Led by a staunch defense the Bulldogs held the Knights to 121 total yards, also four players tallied 2 sacks apiece. Offensively Adrian gained 282 total yards. Shondel Hardnett gained 83 yards on 24 attempts and Noah Heide contributed 146 yards with 3 touchdowns through the air.

Calvin opened the game’s scoring with a pass from Chase Bradman to Seth Anderson to take a 7-0 lead at the 4:08 mark of the 1st quarter. Adrian responded with a one-yard plunge by Trey Brueggermann to tie the game. Both teams traded scores in the second quarter and the Bulldogs took a 14-10 lead into the lockeroom. In the second half Adrian used two Noah Heide touchdown passes to Jalen Wallace and Hunter Bonza along with a defensive safety to outscore the visitors 16-0 to win comfortably 30-10.
