Findlay completes their comback bid

2/24/24 Findlay, Ohio

The visiting Hillsdale Chargers (17-9, 12-7) led at the break 39-31. Using 7 first half three pointers they were able to compete and pull away from Findlay (12-14, 9-9) after the Oilers took a 22-20 lead. Charles Woodhams and Ashton Jankowski’s 17 and 14 points respectively weren’t enough as the Oilers chipped away at the lead in the second half. Findlay seniors Nathan Bruns and Joey Edmunds were able to use their experience and tenacity to rally their team to victory. Bruns’ 21 points led all scorers in the game. Findlay outscored Hillsdale 42-30 in the second half using an advantage at the free throw line making 13-15 while Hillsdale shot 4-5 to complete their comeback for the 73-69 win. These teams meet again on 2/29 at Hillsdale to jockey for positions in the G-Mac tournament.
